I got my First Aid up to 450 over the weekend but I'm still trying to get my cooking and fishing up. My Cooking isn't so bad, only problem I'm having with cooking is lack of recipes and the sudden need for more memory in my PC so I can actually go to Lagaran. Seems every time I try to go there to do my cooking daily, to try and turn in emblems, run VH, etc I get connected. Only thing I can think is that I need to upgrade the memory in my craptop.

My fishing, yikes has been neglected. I mean I'm 80 and my fishing isn't even 300 yet. It's not even 275. Yeesh!! I know I need to sit down and do some fishing, maybe next time I put myself in a que for heroics, I'll just sit somewhere and work on getting my fishing up.

Why are these professions important? Cooking/Fishing offer nice buffs to a stat. While first aid allows you to put on bandages to help "heal" you up. I don't think it matters what class or race you are. Each of these professions will benefit you. I'm sure you're saying, why would a healer need to know their first aid. First aid could benefit even the healer by being able to throw on a bandage to help save some mana for something else.

Now get to work on your secondary profession.

Question everything....

Let me be the first to thank my fellow guildie, Horkus. The man knows his shit about the rogue class. Now granted I scour the web for all information about the rogue class and I by far know I don't know it all about the class. Yes I played a Night Elf Rogue to 70 in BC, but I leveled Assassination and didn't switch to combat till far to late in the game.

Well Hork, tweaked my rotation and helped keep my morale up when I just wasn't feeling all that great about my class. My advice is to find someone that plays your class well. Someone that you can question and will give you good advice. Right now I'm one of a very few Rogues in our guild that plays regularly and I want to advance into actually raiding with everyone else. Now I realize that these Heroic Dungeons (or Normal for that manner) are important to getting your timing down, for upgrading gear and for learning.

So pug them, run them with a guildie. It doesn't matter. If you wipe, try and learn something from it and chalk it up to experience and for goodness sake, Find a mentor you can bounce things off of.

Heroic PUGS

Last night I decided it was time to start seeing some of these heroic dungeons and waiting around for guildies to run some heroics have run it's course. I put myself in the que. Granted I have PUGed Reg TOC a few times. I've been able to pick up a set of gloves, a belt and some pants and Norrac has hooked me up with a set of shoulders, so I have epics in those areas.

Well last night I'm putzing around looking for some more frost lotus and working on my Knights of the Ebon Hold rep when I finally get a wispher, want to run heroic Nexus. Now I have run heroic Nexus with guildies once so I sort of know the run so I accept. I died a few times (I really need to get some enchants and some gems in my gear) and nothing drops, but hey I'm wearing my Knights of the Ebon Hold tabard and getting my rep up so I'm happy. Then they are want to run heroic Halls of Stone. I had never been to HOS so I let them know, they are like it's cool we'll explain bosses etc. I go with them, knowing I probably shouldn't as I'm pulling shit for DPS, but the experiance of going along with the increasing my rep with KEB is high on my list (Want to get to exlated so I can grab the sword).

I got one thing that dropped that I need rolled on is the Fleshshaper. I rolled on it because the other rogue need rolled on it for his off spec, so I figured if no one needed it for their main spec that I'd use it for my soon to pvp spec and I won the thing. I got no other gear that I could use at all in two runs, but I was happy to have the dagger as now I can go and buy librarians paper cutter and get my PVP spec going so I can do some BGs.

All in all it was a fun night filled with to many deaths and not enough DPS, but I talked to a fellow guild rogue who has taken to be my mentor and I figured a few things out, so we'll see if I can't get my DPS up a bit.

What I think a guild should be...

After some recent guild drama, I figured I'd sit down and write about what I think a guild is suppose to be (I was going to write about the situation but decided against it).

First and foremost a guild in my opinion is there for the progression of the guild, not that of one player. What this means is, I shouldn't have to drop everything I'm doing to make sure you get what you need. That's not saying I can't help, but don't expect me to only look to progress yourself.

On non guild raid nights, It's ok to help other guildies out with stuff. You need help with a quest and I'm in the area doing a daily or farming a herb, sure I'll come on over and help out of I can.

Help others get geared for Uldar 25, instead of excluding them out of the Uldar 10 raid. You got gear, you can't improve with anything else in Uld 10, then please let someone that can use that gear in your spot so we can all do Uld 25.

Do unto others as you would have done unto you. We all started out at 1 and worked our way up. Don't look down on a guildie because he leveled slower than you did or you feel you are better than them.

Don't tell others they should go help a low level guildie run SM when you yourself haven't picked up a finger to help progress anyone other than your own toon in this game or scream that your Alt needs a BRD run when you won't run anyone through anything.

Don't berate other guild members in guild chat.

Lack of blogging

Yes I know it's been a while since I have blogged. I have made it to level 73 and got my Alchemy up to level 450. I'm plugging right along. I am currently leveling up in Borean Tundra and have finished almost all quests. I have ventured to Dragonblight to get the first flight path, so that might be my next area or I may go back to Howling Fjord and picked up where I left there.

Patch 3.2 has come out and I honestly didn't get a chance to really play last night to see much. However I did get to a alchemy trainer and grab the new transmute recipes and the new Alchemy recipes. I like to stay as current as I can with my professions. Though I need to get my Fishing up to a respectable level as well as find the Heavy Frost Weave bandage recipe and get my cooking up.

I'm pretty excited about the chance to learn one hand axes. I'll probably start running around with one in my off hand to cget that up. I've done it, I can officially head over to Nothern and actually quest. That being said, I'm not sure I"m ready to jump into the new content of Wrath of Lich King. I have so many things I want to do. I really want to get to 70 and do Kara. I never got to see it and that was all my friends use to talk about(Similar to how everyone talks about Naxx now).

Hitting 68 also lead me to the decision on what to do with my Alchemy Mastery. I thought about doing Exlir Mastery, but I went to the quest and they wanted me to head into Black Morass, which means I'd have to do Old Hillsbrad and all that. So I figured with recent removal of cooldowns to some of the old Burning Crusade transmutes (ie Primal Might) that I can take up Tranmutation for now and then change later if I want (It only cost me 4 Primal Mights for my Tranmutation Mastery). Though I haven't made any transmutes yet, I'm hoping to see how this proc works.

The beat goes on...

Well the last 8 days have been pretty different. Been questing with Norrac, now that we have our own accounts, and I've moved up to level 63. I've made it into Zangermarsh a sliver and I spent most of last weekend working on my professions. Got my First Aid and Lockpicking up to my level and I got my fishing up quite a bit. My Cooking along with Alchemy and Herbalism are at my level or above. In 5 levels I get to choose a Mastery in Alchemy, I'm leaning towards Potions right now. Our guild already has a Elixir person. I'm sure they might like to have Potions Mastery, that and Norrac is always hitting me up for Mana and healing potions. Why did I roll a rogue. It was the class that seemed the most fun to play. I mean think about it. A rogue can walk in Stealth, Can decide when he wants to go into battle for the most part, and we basicly get to scope out the situation before we react to it.

When it comes to PVP these are great advantages. I can sit and watch as you move from target to target and wait for the moment when you are engaged in battle or when your health is low and drop the boom on you. Don't think that's fair? I'm a rogue, I don't do fair. Granted if I'm the one that doesn't get the drop, I'm probably toast.

All in all, I've tried other classes. I had a Mage, wasn't really that much fun and I had a Hunter which was fun, but it wasn't as fun as the rogue. I'm going to eventually try other classes. I really want to try to heal, but I don't see any other class holding a candle to the Rogue.

Hit 50 in the Crater

<img style="float:left; I've played the game before as a Night Elf Rogue, so I know the ins and outs of my character. However I had been following the story line somewhat more in detail this time around and have spent WAY WAY to much time in the Auction House making gold (Have almost 500g on my toon) However people have flown by me level wise. I'm still sitting at 49 and it was time to wipe the quest log clean and move past the green quests and on to yellow and orange quests.

This took me to Un'Goro Crater. I was never a fan of the Crater on previous toons, but I know I'll be able to level pretty well there. Bad thing is the Crater is a big area for both Alliance and Horde and playing a PVP server just makes it all that much more fun.

Guess it's time to level up and get to 58 so I can actually get to Outlands so I can get some Ramparts runs in .

Professions.....

I've had the time to play, not nearly as much as my significant other. She's leveled herself up to level 43 in about 3 weeks, pretty impressive since I'm at level 43 since the middle of December. Guess it's time to put the old nose to the grind stone get some levels.

Recently I've been putting a lot of time into my Professions. My Alchemy and Herbalism is at 275 and cooking and First Aid are over 225. Fishing I've been slacking a bit as I'm just above 150 but I'll continue to work on that.

Just recently picked up the Transmute Mithril to Truesilver and transmute Arcanite bars. Both are decent money makers. I also grabbed the Ghost Dye Recipe and Goblin Rocket Fuel. I think I know most of the recipes I can at my level and I check the Auction House everyday for Alchemy Recipes.

Right now most of the herbs I need are in areas higher than my level, which makes it harder to level but still make it interesting. Oh what a fun night it was being level 25 and running through areas where the mobs where ?? to me. I spent most of my night doing the good old naked run in Badlands and other areas, but it was worth it, now I can get from UC to BB without a hitch. Also got my Alchemy to lvl 175, so that was good too...

Is this now Wow for Dummies?

There are some many different things compared to leveling this time than to last time. I'm going to sound like an old man here, but back when I levled pre WOTLK. You had to get to lvl 30 to get your first riding mount and if you wanted another factions mount, you had to grind out your reputation to exalted. Now they give you're riding mount at 30 and have taken away the need for exalted to get the other factions mount. It just seems like they're trying to make it easier to get to lvl 80, but then what? From what I hear every major raiding guild has destroyed all the end game stuff and is now patiently waiting. I remember hearing about Kara and how it took wipe after wipe after wipe. That it took days to actually run the instance, now people are ubbered out and then what? They get bored with the game and find another game. We'll see if that happens to WOW. Hopefully they can keep things interesting.

The quest begins...

In a way it does. I have been a WOW (World of Warcraft, for those that don't know) Player for a couple years. I leveled a Night Elf Rogue to 70 before WOTLK (Wrath of the Lich King). I have sense started a new Rogue. A Blood Elf Rogue and am leveling her up on Tichondrius.

I like to play the game in character some what, so some of this blog will just be in my character, giving daily activities or building her backstory. Some of the Blog will be me just talking about my build or giving my advice on the Rogue Class (as well as other classes I have played, I've played a Druid for a short time and a Hunter both Night Elf.)

This will just be a blog to talk about Warcraft and have some fun. So check back from time to time and see my progress..

For those that are curious...my Rogue's name is Eiramamme (Named after one of my step daughters actually it's her name spelled backwards) and you check my amory page out
here
